Good question, I tried the svx, it sound pretty good. Do you play guitar also?
If so I would go with guitar rig. Good bass sound and very good guitar sound.
to answer your question, SVX would be more versatile and you can use it as a plug in. So you can change the bass sound until the last minute.
You can get a fully functioning demo from Link Removed.
After about ten seconds with the SVX plug-in, I knew I had to have it. This is after owning Sansamp products for years. I even got Amplitube 2 as well.
After trying virtually every amp sim out there (Sansamp, Line6, Guitar Rig 2, Waves GTR 2.0, Revalver MKII, the list goes on), IMO the IK Multimedia products are superior. They use less CPU than the others as well.
The Ampeg demo does sound good. Downloaded guitar rig 2 demo, as regards bass I definitely prefer Ampeg. Its going for $249 with Amplitude live and T racks 24 till 1/31(as a crossgrade) , so I reckon I'll be getting it. Thanks for the advice...
ampegsvx is an amazing program, i own it, and prefer it over anything else because i can change everything bass-sound-related until the absolute last minute
