Ampeg V4 Overpowering Guitars in band, need advice

I consulted my Magic 8-Ball, given this extraordinary posting:

I have noticed my bass can be quite a bit boomy, but I figured this was just a characteristic of this particular P-Bass. Worth checking into.
Ultra low switch off and lower the pickup......I commonly see the pickups too close on guitar and basses.

Unless you have very soft magnets (like alnico 2 magnets) the pickups should always be lowered first when you have too much gain at low volumes....can be a real problem with alnico 5 and ceramic magnet pickups too close.
 
Have you tried adjusting the tweeter level at all on the cab? It might be set too high. Tweeters often don't get along with overdrive. Try turning that down.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I messed with. I have it totally turned to the right at 0. BTW, do you know what the infinite level all the way to the right is?
