Received a gift from Sire* (see sig)
I just dragged my K24 out of the corner, replaced a couple of strings, and tuned it up. Been sitting in the corner for a coupla years now. Posted about it here: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/nhd-nwtfiid.1637717/ but this is for general discussion.

Any other players (or wannabes like me) on here? Any care to share some fingering tips? Still getting my brain wrapped around the layout...

Tuned up, but not dusted off yet! :woot::roflmao:

It does look intimidating at first, I'll admit, but it's really not that bad, it's a regular grid, so all chord / riff shapes are movable left to right and up and down. Side to side / left to right, it's kind of like a piano, but in and out, it's more like a guitar. Played by hammering the strings down like tapping / Chapman Stick. Strings are spaced by whole tones, so half steps are available one rank (fret) up or down. Learn a song in one key, play in any key, merely by moving your hands around.

Easy, kinda like Matrix Algebra!! hehe hehe hehe :woot:🤪 :roflmao:
