The VT22 was a 2x12 combo. The VT40 was the one with 4x10's.

I have a V4 4x12 cab (the regular square one). I'm hesitant to use it for bass because I don't want to ruin the 30-year-old speakers, but it is certainly one of the best-sounding 4x12 guitar cabinets I've ever heard. It does have more bottom end than other guitar cabinets I've compared it to. I have a V2 head that I run through it, and as loud as that thing is, I shudder to think what a V4 could do.

I have a V4 4x12 cab that is 30" tall x 27" wide; it's got 3 handles on one side, glides on the bottom & 6 of those recessed metal cups on the top. Is this a guitar cab? Thanks in advance...

Yep. That's the guitar cab.

Hello. Newbie here. I was referred to this thread by a fellow who was trying to help me to identify an ampeg cab I have. The cab is a 4 X 12 but measures differently than does the cab mentioned above by metalmariachi. This cab measures exactly the same as a 2 X 15 cab that was under a B-25 that I measured side by side with this one. This cab measures 40 X 29 3/4 X 11/3/4. Any clues as to what this is would be appreciated.

The measurements I posted were wrong.

Your cabinet is the one I was thinking of.
