I would use the 2 ohm tap.

Do not mix the taps on the amp. Do not connect the 8 ohm cab to the 8 ohm tap and the 4 ohm tap to the 4 ohm cab at the same time.

Agreed with both of these, especially not mixing the taps.

I have to admit I would have said use the 4Ω tap as tube amps run better into a load lower than the tap rather than higher.
