What's up all?! I'm looking for some input here on a head to pair with my Ampeg 212av, which is a KILLER cab. Currently I'm using a V4B Reissue but at times finding myself wanting a little more thump. Not NECESSARILY volume but thump. I'm a committed ampeg lover and play a P or PJ in punk rock/power pop bands. Not changing my cab, been through a TON and love the 212av. Locally there's a SVT 2-pro for $800 bucks, which seems like a good deal or there's a dearth of SVT-CLs around for a little bit more money but not far off. People are ditching "big" but I will take the trade off for better tone. Wondering pros and Cons ov the CL vs 2-Pro. I'd also keep the V4B for "smaller" venues and the like...

Cheers!

Try an 810 with the V4BR if you can find one locally to demo. Some places rent them and might let you try it in the shop.
Sticking with the 212av. Had an 8x10 for quite some time and as great as it sounded I prefer the 212. Easier to transport and very similar vibe. Not exactly the same but a lot of similarity. I'm mainly looking for a bit more horsepower for the low punch. Not lows like an HLF cab....ugh I HATE those cabs. Couldn't ditch my 610hlf fast enough.
