I once had a stage guy put a roll of duct tape on my amp. He won't do that again!
Do it. Or tell me where it is so that I can, if you don't.View attachment 1156149 So I have an opportunity to purchase this amp.(bottom) I have always wanted a 70's era Ampeg bass amp and cab.he amp is V9-SVT and the cab is a SVT610HLF. In doing research on this amp tho, I'm getting conflicting info. Is this a true SVT? The guy at the store tells me it's a '76 made in Greeneville, Tn. I'm not sure about that I thought they were made in NJ. Anyway, it's a decent price and a local amp repair shop went through it replacing one of the tube with some new old stock they had. Please help me out here Ampeg Gurus!
I'm guessing from the huge rig and the pictures that the person playing through that rig was Al Cisneros.
Elkhart, IN in those days.Do it. Or tell me where it is so that I can, if you don't.
The V9 is an SVT power section with a preamp section that's not too different from a V4's (guitar version), as I understand it.
Edit: that's a regular SVT, not a V9. And no, as far as I know, they weren't made in Tennessee.

In which case, that roll of tape didn't stay there for long.
How different is this black line from a blue line? When did ampeg switch from blue to black?
Does it leave a residue or cut low mids?Yes, Al's rig. The Ricky basses are another clue.
The roadie missed the sign. I hope that they weren't planning on taping the cable down on the amp.
