Ampeg venture v7 into SVT212

Ok, so having settled on the above pairing, I've finally put them together and... nothing, no sound. I don't have another cab or head to test them individually at the moment

Am now wondering if I'm doing somehing daft. Has anyone else had this issue?

P.s. it's not the mute switch

Pps I'm using an nl2 speakon to jack cable

Is the amp on? Is your bass on? If your bass is active, is the battery dead? Have you tried the aux in on the back of the head with another audio source?

Failing all of those, you need to troubleshoot each part of the chain. Confirm with another setup, that your bass and instrument cable work, and then you know it’s got to be the amp, the speaker cable, the cab.

I forgot to twist the Speakon conntectors to lock them in place, once?...

Are the jacks on the Ampeg real Neutrik jacks?

I read somewhere that one of the newer amp releases maybe this or GK didn't have real branded Neutrik jacks and real Neutrik jacks and cables are not compatible with knockoffs. But the problem is usually that they get stuck and break the jack trying to get them out. I haven't heard about them not working letting sound through.

So I guess don't listen to me
