Ampeg Venture V7 or Fender Rumble 800

Thanks for all the input. I think after my research I am getting the Ampeg V7. Now, as for Ampeg cabinets.....How is running this through a 410 sound vs. running it through a 212? I know I can add to either of these in the future but not sure which one would be best for what I need playing bars and small/medium sized clubs. In addition, has anyone ran this head through the PF 410 instead of the a Venture 410? Just curious. Don't mind investing the $ but since I can't try these in person, I want to make an informed decision.

There are positive report on VB808 on Venture forum since money no issue with you.

I’m pretty happy with my Venture.

Only time will tell if Ampeg has fixed their QC issues, but I think the faux SVT and especially the B15 sounds are 90% there and that’s good enough for me.

I tried the Venture 212 vs 410 for maybe 15-20 minutes.

410 goes a little lower, and is a little more present in the mids as you’d expect with a 410. 212 was a little more scooped.

Both are scooped in general, which I like. I’ve always found that I can coax more midrange mix punch-through in a scooped cab if I want, but I usually will have a hard time getting deep lows out of a more mid-forward tuned cab.
