Ampeg Venture v7 & v12 compressor: what style does it sound like?

I'd like to get a v3, but I really like the sound of the compressor on the v7 & v12. I'm trying to figure out what pedal I can buy that will replicate its sound.

I'm not a compressor expert - does it have a Dynacomp sound? It seems to have some effect on the tone; it's not transparent like an M87. ?

Doubt it's a Dynacomp. Maybe it's based on the Ampeg Opto Comp modified for 1 knob function?

Whatever it is, it’s fun and adds to the tone. More than the one knob compression on SVT 7 pro
