Amplitube questions

I didn't know whether this should be in the amp, effects, or recording forum. I got the iRig and the Amplitube free app for my iPod. It works, but the free software only includes a guitar amp. Does anyone know what plug-in, or additional app, I need to get a good bass sound? It looks like there is a single bass amp head they sell for $4.99, but there are also other options and it's not clear to me whether they are add-ons to the free version or whether I have to buy the paid version of Amplitube first.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit to note -- the GK app has a very good bass sound but it does not have some of the nice features Amplitube has. So I'm looking for a good bass sound to use with Amplitube.

I like a lot the amplitube 3 software. Indeed is a good option to buy the paid versions. Since I don't play guitar at all, I got the Ampeg SVX pack and the Fender Pack, for the Amplitube 3. Check First what options you will get before buying the IOS Pack.

I know that the Fender Pack for IOS may have another 2 or 3 bass head options. You can make awesome tones with the TBP1, or the Bassman 300. I use a lot the Fender rack effects at Amplitube 3. And Remember. All stuff is digitalized. You will not Blow a Virtual Speaker by plugin in your bass guitar into it. You can experiment with the guitar amps! And watch out for the 59 Bassman amp simulator. It has a lot of presets for Guitar players. It's a little difficult to find some usefull presets for bass...

If you need more help, post another question, I will try to help the best way I can.

I have the free version and bought the bass add in. I think its modeled after an old ampeg svt, so it sounds great but can be noisy. I also have the free gk app, but I love the built in tuner and metronome from amplitube. My only real complaint is that amplitube converts to wav for play alongs. Note you also get a 115 cab and nose filter pedal for your $4.99. Worth it IMO.
