I have a Line 6 LD750. It has a single-knob compressor, and I love it. Very unobtrusive and transparent.

I'll +1 that, i frequently use a Line 6 Lowdown LD150 combo and it is a rather good compressor.

Another RH450 owner here. The compressor is pretty good IMHO (and of course, YMMV), but it certainly wasn't the main (or even secondary/tertiary) reason that I purchased the amp (more for the built in tuner, semi-parametric EQ, three programmable channels, and footswitch control).

Honestly, you would be better off finding an amp with the features/tone/price range that works for you, and get a quality compressor pedal/rack to go along with it.

+1, if it doesn't have attack, release and ratio controls it's usually not much better than nothing. Good outboard compressors aren't expensive anyway.

Agreed - my M-pulse 600 has an on-board comp with threshold and ratio controls, but it's still not nearly as good as the dbx comps I use in my PA rack...
