Double Bass AMT Battery Life?

I like to use the AMT mic on my bass with a practice amp to do some critical listening through headphones. Which of the connections to the Super Pre amp switches on the battery. Does connecting the mic cord to the pre amp do this?
I'm using the line out (1/4" phone jack) to connect the Super Pre to my Fodera Practice amp. I just need to know what to disconnect so I don't drain the 9 volt in the Super Pre.
