I remember on a previous thread someone asked you to name an idol you had whose tone you admired; I forget the player but recall someone informing you that their mysterious and awesome tone was the result of an Ibanez Musician bass.
Have you ever been one to get a bass like this or do you find it easier to stick to the more common and still totally awesome basses like the ones we see in your tour pics or on eBay?
I'd never make a good rock star - far too tight-fisted!
(Although not too much so to jump on a cheap GT2 I saw recently. After all you've said about them, I'm eager to do an A/B with the original Sansamp which has been my go-to, always-on pedal.)
