Analysing Jamerson's Lines

This is the first time that I noticed it but there does seem to be some extra going on?

This line in particular is very busy and I agree, sometimes there is just a bit too much going on. In this particular track the bass isn't too far forward in the mix, so I think a lot of the notes are somewhat lost. They are there, and it's when you play the line using the 'Standing in the Shadows of Motown' transcription that you really notice them.

As much as I think Jamerson was a genius, there is no way you could get away with playing some of the stuff he did in a pop session now.
