Frankly, I HATE the idea that a rock and roll band would somehow benefit from having a mission statement. What's next, strategic planning for all band members? Discussions about survival strategies? Cross marketing and leveraging? Thanks but no thanks. I'll take my rock and roll straight up in a dirty glass. Make it unpredictable, unplanned, maybe a little reckless and irresponsible, with the only purpose being to make people want to cut loose, move their butts and make a little love.
Sorry if I missed the joke. Rock and roll is rebellious. I just don't see a place in my Rock and Roll Fantasy for these corporate team-building rituals.
I'll head back to my porch now to make sure those damn kids stay off of my lawn.
