I remember reading an interview with Steve Harris back in the early '80s where he stated that the live version of this song was what made him start playing bass guitar...

One of major influences of my younger years Andy Fraser was. A very gifted man but a deeply troubled one as well, judging by his autobiography...

Yeah, the TV clip, as good as it looks, doesn’t quite smolder as other versions, but if Harris was referring to this one, it is fierce…

That album might have been on my turntable more than any other when I was 16. Anybody listening to that album and thinking Paul Rodgers and everybody else in that band don't belong in the R&R hall of Fame are insane. Rodgers is a soul shouter on there, all the grunts and shouts of a seasoned soul man, and he was a kid, they all were.
Bad Company paled in comparison to Free! IMHO
