Hadn’t seen any of his vids for a while, and when I watched a recent one a few days ago, I was shocked at how much weight he has lost ... and that the comments have been turned off for most of his vids, for months.

I don’t want to sound alarmist, but with Chadwick Bozeman’s recent passing from colon cancer, I can’t help but be concerned.

Anyone know what’s up? Is he healthy and safe? Inquiring minds want to know ...

I got an email from Andy yesterday, and he confirmed that he had undertaken a weight loss regime to get healthier and feel his best. He also confirmed that he turned off comments on his videos because it’s a time-suck, and there are a lot of trolls out there intent on just being dickish. I was glad to hear the former, and totally understand the latter.
All the best Andy!

I follow him on Instagram! He's vegan and healthy. Walks a ton and doesn't eat meat. I think that's it as others have said. Spends a lot of time on his farm. He lost weight really quickly. Seems healthy and happy. Very kind dude as well.

Just saw a video of him jamming to some random track and I think he’s playing better than ever. Sounded more articulate and assertive on the bass than a year or two ago. I know it’s to be expected because he’s always working on his craft but I would not be surprised if his level of health effects his level of playing.
I had a chance to chat with him a couple of times at the Midwest Rhythm Summit and like all have said, he’s a really good dude. I’ve always been a fan of his since I first started learning the bass.

Andy, if you’re out there listening....
Keep up the great work !

+1 on good for him.

Fast food 4 to 6 times a week? Yikes. As tasty as it is, I know how that stuff make me feel when I eat it... and that's seldom. I can't imagine eating it that much.

Bold for Andy to make the video... but he feels good to tell people about it... and it's putting his viewers at ease.

Kudos to Andy. I love it. I totally get his message.

Wow, that’s pretty much my story. Four or five years ago I was up to about 275 at my peak and could barely make it through a gig without falling out. Now I’m down to 175, my high school weight, same clothes sizes etc. It sure helps with my overall feeling and right now that’s a good thing, cuz this week is five straight outdoor gigs starting tonight! More power to Andy!

Lost track of the barber somewhere along the way as well.
