Any Robyn Hitchock & The Egyptian fans on here?

It has always surprised me that Andy Metcalfe is never mentioned by anyone here (other than me). The guy is very talented, one of the most melodic bassists I've ever heard. You would think there'd be many bassists listing him as an influence.

I agree. If you listen to the LP Element of Light, for example, his sound, phrasing and overall uniqueness are fantastic.

Love his playing. Queen Elvis has to be one of my favorite all time albums. But all the stuff he did with the Egyptians was great. And fretless!
