Anleon S2 IEM In Ear Systems?

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...+s2&sprefix=anleon,aps,397&crid=19BF3S5OHYZ66

Anyone have first-hand experience with these? Nothing but good reviews online (save for the mediocre earbuds, but I've already got that covered). I can get 3 tx and 6 rx for $450.00 in my choice of 863-865mhz or 670-680mhz (UHF).

Also, as an aside, if I want multiple aux (monitor) mixes, I need a separate tx for each one, correct?

I don't believe either of those frequency ranges fall in the "unlicensed use" ranges..

But I've been wrong before.. :)

@s0c9 Nope, you're right. Both ranges listed are no longer available for unlicensed use.

@electracoyote Stay away from these, they use frequencies that are used by cell phones.
Interference is the small problem, heavy fines and confiscated equipment are the possible big issues.

...heavy fines and confiscated equipment are the possible big issues.

In all good humor, possible big issues?

While the simple prohibition and likely interference should be enough to dissuade most, the probability of enforcement seems quite overblown sometimes when it comes up in forum threads. To my mind, it's kind of comical...I picture IEM sting operations run by the FCC-BCB (that's FCC's Bureau of Cover Bands). "Listen up everyone, Johnny's on point...we got him on the inside posing as a substitute roadie. The go code is "Freebird"...let's roll!"

I'm not discounting the reality or reason for the laws, but can anyone point to an example of any FCC enforcement action over some local band's IEMs that resulted in a fine? Or even a warning? Ever? Anywhere? Even microphones, which would potentially be identifiable as an interference source because they're PA and not simply personal monitoring?

As a practical matter with these types of regulations, there has to be a report/complaint and following that, a failure to cease. While they aren't generally aimed at small operations, bureaucratic enforcements tend to involve a series of warnings followed by a specific warning of a potential fine.

It's possible to be fined for worrying a squirrel in La Crosse, Wisconsin. That doesn't make it a big possible issue if your dog likes to chase squirrels. Because something is "possible" doesn't mean that it's not astronomically improbable.

That makes sense. Do you know in what areas this system doesn’t do well? I assume it’s either sound quality or signal dropout?
Other than not being in "unlicensed" frequency use, these types of devices are usually cheaply made and not robust.
From what I have seen/read, quality is hit-or-miss. You may get a great unit or it may be DOA or fail in a week.

I recently bought a set of cables for my IEM. Brand new, the balance was left-of-center. I confirmed by comparing with backup cables I have. Returned for a replacement. Those were DOA.
I bought a more expensive set (2x the $$) and those have so far been flawless.
YMMV - but is it worth the pain and anguish if you get a dud?
