I recently acquired an anodized pickguard for my pbass, it has 13 holes, and no holes for a thumbrest at all. Typical single ply, recessed screw holes, appears well made.

Looks to be a direct replacement on my bass. Any one familiar with the maker, or anyway to ID same? Seller said it was a Fender part, but I thought their ano guards all had holes for the thumbrest...

I believe the P Bass Special and P Bass Special Active didn't have holes for a tug bar or thumb rest but I'm not an expert on this.

Yep, other research I've done suggests this is a P Bass Special guard. Thanks, mech, for the assist.

Anyone know if this might be an appropriate guard for a "59" style remake on my bass?
