Shame about the headstock modifications, but the phenolic saddles are super rare. I’m sure many players would have dumped them for the metal versions back in the day. This was done because of certain metal shortages due to the Korean War.

Beauty piece! I actually got to play one from that year for a few minutes when looking for my first amp, about fifteen years ago. It was a local music store owner's that bought it new and played it for 50 years; quite worn, but it played like butter.
