Another Avatar Question

How do I upload an avatar to my user profile? I go to "My TalkBass". There I can edit my Signature, Options, Etc...

Don't see anything on editing or adding an Avatar?

Unless I'm just plain missing it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Hi,
you have to be a supporting member to upload an avatar. See the 'Donate to upgrade today' link on left hand side of screen for options / explanation of benefits etc.

You have to pay to be able to upload a 1 inch x 1 inch picture?
Really? Thats a first for me.

Mulitipal Mustang/Cobra forums, Fishing forum, Gun forum...

Almost all of which use the identical forum format as this one. Meaning, besides the "Logo" at the top, there is nothiing to distinguish yours from theirs.

So, whats this forum have that the others don't that would prompt someone to think they should charge a fee to upload a picture? Besides greed?

You don't have to pay a single cent to post / read in the regular forum.

This site, one of the most popular forums on the internet, costs a lot of money to run and maintain. We rely greatly on donations to help offset those costs.

If you choose to support the forum, the primary benefit would be the ability to use the classifieds forums to sell as many items as you want for only $20 per year. I don't think anyone is becoming a supporting member just to upload an avatar, it's an additional perk of membership.
