Double Bass Another bass ID thread?

Heck no! This is the Shen 180 that I bought from a fellow TB'er tonight. Nice guy who had a beautiful Kolstein and a New Standard that he let me fool around with also. Can't wait to drive the Shen back to Ottawa and get started. Thanks to all on TB - the collective wisdom found here helped inform my choice for a first bass.

Here's an interesting tidbit : When I go for my first lesson, I will be 2 persons removed from Ron Carter (who was a mentor to one of my teacher's mentors). How cool is that?
