Another dumb Ampeg Question...

Hi everyone, I have another dumb question about my Ampeg cab. I have an Ampeg SVT410HLF, and I love it. However, on the back there is a knob which under it says: "Level Control." Now this may sound like a really dumb question, but what exactly is that knob used for? I wouldn't want it turned too far to a certain side and possibly mess up my cab. Any help? Once again sorry for the dumb question, I'm still relatively new when it comes to electronics...

There is a tweeter in the cab. The knob is the volume control for the tweeter
Typically, I put it around the 10 O 'clock position. or just over a 1/4 up on volume

Lemme add another lil nifty thing about the HLF 410...{had one}
With the tweeter knob cranked up...your windows rattling {vol cranked} you will notice what looks like a fire lighting up inside the cab.....don't freak I did when I 1st got it.....
There is a "light bulb" resistor inside of it.....just turn down the tweeter

Thanks a ton! I honestly had no idea what it was meant for, and I didn't want to mess something up without knowing what to do. Also, you said turn it to 10 o'clock, does that mean the part where it's wide and says "high" or the part with the line? Once again I have no idea how any of it works haha

The volume knob in the back that reads HIGH, that is what controls how much high's come out. again, I keep mine around the 9 to 10 O'clock position. I play an Ibanez bass and they {bass} put out alot of high's already. If you play live, dial up your normal stage volume on your amp, then play with the high knob in the back to get the sound you want from it. I do suggest not adding too much though, it can get pretty loud!!

agreed on all counts with mward, except when i use one, i just barely have it on to get a little extra bite but no annoying icepick to the eyes treble.
