I just got these 2 Bag End S15-D,S15X-D and everything sounds great through them. My last combination blew me away! A 1972 ish Ampeg V-4 (VT22) head. Creamy good- Looks funny with the head twice as long as the cab width.

I can hear the windings on the flatwounds!

Great amp! I too, struggle with the 27" length of the V4 and modern cabinets. I either lay my 212 on it's side and it fits perfect or let it slightly hangover my 410.

You could add a second pair
or
set the V4 on a keyboard stand.
That would keep from vibrating the tubes and let you
locate it where ever you want it.

The V4 is in good company. The Sunn is also hanging over a cabinet. Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't big headed.
