So, my band Dustern went into the studio on saturday to record five songs. We finished all the drums, most of the bass (barring some corrections and overdubs), and about half the guitars (we're going to double most of them). Still need to do the keys and vocals.

Below, I have a soundcloud link to a rough first mix (no studio effects other than mild compression, no EQ).

The basses I had available were:
My heavily modified Peavey (originally a P-bass copy)
my 4003S
my Thunderbird
and my drummer's Bass VI

So, can you figure out which one(s) I used?

Those of you who voted 4003S were correct.

Although we brought a Bass VI, we didn't end up using it for the initial tracks.

The intro is the bridge pickup of the 4003S with the tone capacitor engaged. Then I switch to the neck pickup. When it gets heavy, I switch back to the bridge pickup, this time with the capacitor disengaged.
