I know. It is just the perfect bass sound. 
Wonder if it's his amp and speakers contributing to that sound more so than the bass???

Considering the guy has produced drool over tones with Hofner, Yamaha, Rickenbacker and Fender products, I'd give a pretty big chunk of the credit to the guy not the gear.

He just has a great ear and must set all his rigs similarly to get those great sounds. All of which are fat and cutting yet not shrill.

Awesome sound and I have always found Yamahas to sound good, but not mind blowing. OF course, being who he is and having his gear helps that tone, but I would never have assumed it was a Yamaha on sound alone.
