Another "identify this fuzz" thread

I searched (google+talbass) but found nothing.

Do you know what kind of effect is Philippe Bussonnet using in this video?. You can get the idea watching just the first 1-2 minutes. The audio is out of sync but you get the idea...

It's like a very bassy fuzz sound. Very well controlled and thick but you can identify even the lowest notes

It's hard to find info on his gear, but I just wanted to pop in to say that Philippe Bussonnet is one of the sickest bassists EVER!!!

I know the specific info may be hard to find but anyone can imagine how to replicate the sound?
I looked at the IE Oxide and it may be the way.

When I was messing around with a silicon malekko b:assmaster into an SVT-CL and an 8x10, I was able to get something somewhat close to that. It is definitely a blended fuzz of some form, you can here the string attack through the fuzz. I don't think an oxide would be the answer from my experience with it (more of a bucket of bees than this). Maybe a depth charge? Whatever it is, it is definitely a blended fuzz

Anymore ideas about his fuzz sound maybe? Could it be his Ampeg SVT maybe?

I love his sound (and above all his playing) and I'd like to get close to this kind of sound using my VT Bass if possible...

If you like the Boss, there is a discussion currently going about the ultra cheap Superfuzz clone - the Behringer SF300. I just bought one for $25 and it is cheap but has some nice tones available.

If I'm not mistaken that Boss is supposed to be in the vein of the Superfuzz(?)
