I think i am converted over. Last night we played a gig and for the sake of saving time and space, I did not bring a cabinets with me and just ran to the board. And my guitar player recommended i try his in ears system. I used them once before with his buds but everything sounded horrible. So this time i tried them with my cheap 35 dollar skullcandy asym buds and i could actually hear the difference in my bass tone when i would switch it. Needless to say i was pretty much sold at that point.
Now the only thing i did not like was i could not really travel far from stage without them cutting out. He has a set of carvins that cost about 350 bucks. Which is about as much as im looking to spend. But i want to be able to travel off stage when i need for example but not limited to:
-get more beer
-grind on some fat chicks
-make sure my gf is not mad at me for grinding on fat chicks
-continue to grind on fat chicks
-take somebody elses drink
...so on and so fourth.
SO what this gets down to is, What are some good brands to try out in the 3-4-500 dollar range? And if the deal is good i am not opposed to buying used.
