Another Larry Graham Instructional Video

Cool! Especially the syncopated drumming in the track around 8 minutes. What’s the name of that song?

I think most of the material on this video was created for the video. I finally got through the whole video this morning and it is a rhythm section master class. It is interesting to remember that Graham started out on guitar and that he played guitar and bass pedals as duo with his mother on organ while Graham also sang. He is definitely versed in Jazz and Gospel, plus he is a solid keyboardist and guitarist. He probably plays drums well too. I remember the late Victor Bailey saying his song, “Bottoms Up” was meant to be what Graham would have done if he went to Berklee, I don’t Graham is lacking musical knowledge, he was not out to be a bass solo playing virtuoso although his playing can virtuosic in the context of Funk and Pop.
