Another n00b ohm question

My dad has an Eden WT550 Traveler bass head, and while reading though a MF catalog, I noticed it said that it "puts out 300/500/750 watts of power at 8, 4, and 2 ohms."

So I'm wondering if it'll be safe to use with my GK backline 4x10, which is rated at 400 Watts at 8 ohms I belive.

Just want to make sure it's safe before I blow something up. My dad will most likely let me use the Eden for gigs, for which I definately need more power than the 120 watts my little GK head puts out.

Thanks in advance

yea it will work fine, provided you dont crank it up all the way and clip the amp or something (but that works the same for any amp really...)

it doesnt mean the head is going to force 300 watts into the cabs at all times.. realistically it will be less. Your cab doesnt need 400 to work, its just a suggested measurement of what it can handle. 300 watts will be fine

:D
