Another new Squier Vintage Modified !!!

This bass screams DARKSTARS!

+1

Folks I think we have the cheapest prime candidate for the double darkstar treatment!

i now have GAS

I checked the specs and it's a Basswood body with Ash veneer. So to me that mean LIGHT! it also means that the bass is the perfect candidtate for DS'ing as the added clarity of the pickups should fit in nicely with the body.

While tru the original 72 issue Tele bass pup was rather dark, that does not necessarily mean this one will be.

I know of no one who's laid hands on one yet, tho I know several that have ordered. I'll have one after reports start coming back in.

I have at least a "semi-issue" with spending another $200 for a D/S on a $200-ish bass...but then again, I already have a D/S'd Tele...that pup works fabulously in the "full on neck position!"

On the Squier, the brdige is string thru.
On my 72, it was a drop in. Drill four holes in the p/g for the mounting screws. Done in 1/2 hr, soldering new leads on included.
