I started playing in 1984 but have not played in about 15 years so I'm trying to get caught up on all the new gear. I have a 1967 Epiphone Rivoli that I bought in 1987 for $100 , I have a 1978 Fender P Bass that I bought in 1991 from Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown's bass player, it was as his backup and I have a Rickenbacker 4003 I bought new in 1990.
These basses are great because they are all so different and distinct sounding from each other. I would like to add a Hofner 500 or a Fender Jazz, but I can replicate 95% of all bass sounds with these three.
I'm looking for a replacement for my 30 year old Peavey Basic 60, so I'm looking at a Fender Rumble or an Ampeg Rocket Bass, probably the 200/115 or 500/210.
