I've recently received my 1977 Ibanez Silver Series that I bought on eBay. I love how this thing plays, and how it sounds through my Mark IV, not a huge fan of the white pickguard. I'm probably going to add a bridge cover(no pickup cover), a black thumbrest, and a couple toggle switches(on the control plate). Everything else stays the same.

Help me decide a new color. Thinking of either clear, black of some kind(gloss, matte, or pearl), or maybe a custom vinyl job like the one pictured. But I pulled the white guard and found no ugly routes underneath and I kinda like the look. I'd probably get/make a clear guard so it looks a little more finished.

Nevermind the dog, she has to be a part of everything. Thanks,
Jake

I'm currently leaning either towards a black, or clear(I think it would help cover up some of the finish chips around the screw holes). Here's one with a bridge cover and black guard.

Nothing like a loving weimeraner to always want to be involved with everything.

You ain't kidding. She is always extremely interested in whatever is taking attention away from her! She always tries to "help" me fix guitars... :roflmao:

THIS. 3-ply BWB looks great on basses with darker bodies with maple necks.
