Anyone know how to get a crisp clean sound for a recording? This is setup I have to work with(it's my school's sound room):
-Peavey Milestone IV, Planet Waves cable
-Into a Tascam Portastudio 424 MK II (4 track tape)
-Line out to this computer, running Soundforge 6.0 and MAGIX Audio Studio Generation 5

I'm preferring the MAGIX program because it's easier for me to work with...any info will be much appreciated. PS I have no DI or POD or anything...
