ANOTHER Ric on Craigslist......

I missed a red/black trim 4003 here in the NO area over the summer for (hack) $700. The pictures of the bass were about what you'd expect for the age, maybe a little better.

I had clearance to buy it from the wife....but I was 7 hours away in sunny Palestine, Texas for work. I spoke with the guy on the phone. He basically told me that there was a line of interested parties and I was 1st. If I couldn't come see it and pay for it that night, he'd move on to the next guy. So I missed out.

I'm not sure where I was going with this. I'll end it with: hey Walbassman, I miss my old Ric.

Exactly what he told me on the phone:

"We are taking the best offer, it's $1200 already, and we're looking for $1700 and up. This bass is very unique, same color as McCartney's, my son bought it in 1982, but it's an 1980 and blah, blah, blah..."

I said: "Thanks, bye."
