Another small compressor thread (becos, afterlife/ghost note, etc...?)

My recommendation for your scenario is undoubtably one of the Becos comps.

Well, that settles it beyond any shadow of a doubt!
Just pulled the trigger on the becos.

Until I really get the hang of compression, I’m restricting myself to only using this pedal as if it were the mini One: so, hard knee, scf=n, timing=s, and I’ll try not to mess with the threshold a ton (just keep it at noon or something idk)

I won’t be reviewing this due to my severe lack of qualifications and experience.

Side note: for the blend, it seems the “wet” side is in the left for the mini pro, whereas for the mini pro One the blend control is the opposite (or what I would take as normal). Strange! It wasn’t a one-off difference, the manuals reflect this as well.

Just following up on this sorta-old thread since I'm interested in the Becos. What's your opinion of it after owning it a few months? I know you said you don't want to review it but is it something that's found a permanent place on your board?

Well, I don't bring my board anywhere so it's kind of sat in an unfinished state. I generally like the becos, but it's got a learning curve for a compressor newbie like me. I'm probably keeping it, plus I sold off my old compressor a while ago. It's definitely not noisy by my standards.
Placement: I put it before everything (except tuner), as I'm typically interested in getting just a little more sustain out of my instrument, or to help keep slapping vs fingers at similar volume levels. (or a vain attempt to make my playing sound more even. That probably means I should actually practice more...)
I don't think I can provide much more insight vs what others have already said in their reviews. I'm not the person you should ask for opinions on compressors, but since you asked: I give it a thumbs up.
