Another Speaker Replacement

My ancient SWR Bigfoot 2-12 appears to have given up the ghost ! Loud pop and now the output quits completely if I push it even a little. The Bag Ends are long gone...someone loaded it with Electrovoice DL 12ST's..
Can someone suggest the best replacement or should I have the EV's reconed?
The inside dimensions are approximately 21 x 21 x16..about 4 cubic feet with 2 ports
3 7/8 by 2 3/4 inches.

I've had good luck and pretty good results with Celestions, but I've never used 12" speakers, it's an 18" one.

i would say the usual neo or ceramic Eminence 12" candidates
2 cubic per driver works out well for just about any of them

The Bigfoot is rare! I've never actually seen one in person. Beta 12's should work....I believe those are what SWR used later in the 12-pack.

The EV's are a good driver (provided tha cabibet tuning is suitable)

Are you sure the amp hasn't failed (and maybe taken out the speaker)?

The cab performed nicely for over a year with an Eden wtx260.....and I liked the EV's .I tried a Kustom kxb500 at rehearsal and heard a loud, high pitched pop. Now both speakers go completely silent at anything above a whisper of volume(with either amp)
I picked up a Genz Benz 410 Focus that sounds really good with the Kustom. I did wonder, but gambled anyway.....3 gigs outdoors and the amp seems OK? Now I have a dead box that resembles an old piece of furniture....

That's a likely sound of amp failure caused speaker failure. Have the amp and speakers checked out.
