ANOTHER SVT7 thread: Replace ICE2A265 chip or entire board?

I haven't yet. I don't have a dealer near to try them out and form my own opinion. There's lots of misinformation and strong opinions about the class-d stuff but we'll save that for the gazillion "class-d sucks, bruh" threads. Truth be told, I know I wouldn't hear a difference but my gear choices are seldom rooted in reason and logic. I admit it.
Well, the Ampeg SVT7 Pro is a class D amp - albeit with a valve front end.
The V12 uses the IcePower Class D power module - that is known for reliability. and I believe it uses the Ampeg SGT-DI circuitry for the front end.

There's a few youtube demo videos of the V12 to give you an idea of what it sounds like in a variety of genres eg : -

I've got a 7pro and would like to update to the V12 - but the 7pro has given me zero problems ( its the latest version with updated circuit board )
