Clip ons are spotty in loud environments. I have a nice rack tuner that goes above my rack Furman power conditioner, so I use that- it mutes, easy to read.

I have a snark. I don't think they look good while performing, but that's subjective. I don't use it for practice or regular gigs. I have 2 Korg Pitch Blacks. One in my gig bag and one in my studio. I use it in other circumstances, but I don't find it that reliable and I find it a PIA to use. It has a hard time picking up low B on a 5er and I have one bass that it can't hear the low E. I prefer a tuner pedal. I've never owned a rack tuner, but I did lug a rack rig around for a few years mainly because all the cool kids were doing it.
