Another wacky idea...

Hmmm still thinking about this... I could get a lot of versatility with the "dual Strat" config, but I would not have any way to get series-humbucking... just parallel if I understand 5-way blades correctly. And also, while I could put switches in 2 & 4 to get an SC at Neck and Bridge (with both coils at mid to buck), or even 1 & 5 for just a SC at Neck and Bridge (Hum be damned), I'd have no way to select BOTH neck and Both Bridge (HB Neck + HB Br, no Mid pickup)

Starting to wonder if I'd be better off with 3 DPDT switches and a 5-way blade where the DPDT are SC/Series/Par and the mid set just uses the reverse coil of the the Neck and Bridge. Other words if all 3 were set to SC, it would effectively be a bass Strat.

It would be more complexity, but the only thing I'd be missing is the HB Neck + HB Bridge, but I guess I could do Neck/Mid or Mid/Bridge and still get close... Heh, is there a 6-way blade switch? I don't know that I'd want to do rotary...

I love the Freeway switch. My 4004 build uses this wiring, and it is incredibly versatile!

Never used the blade version, but I’m sure it rocks too!

Hmmm maybe I'd go with that one and then have a dedicated DPDT for each pair for Single/Series/Para... That would basically give me everything but phase, which I don't care about...

Is that the 3X3-03?
