I have a MIJ Fender Marcus Miller Jazz that I have debated on selling to fund another dream bass. However I have seen prices jump all over the place and am having a hard time determining what I would list it for. About a year ago they were going for $500-650 used, about the time the Sire MM jazz was getting bigger. Now people are asking $800-1000 for theirs here, eBay, and Reverb.

Mine is a MIJ, not the MIM, which makes me thing it's a litter better. It's in decent shape, no major damages just the usual wear and tear. Not bad for being a 2004 if I researched the serial right. It's stock and sounds great.

So what's the verdict?

Asking prices are just that. Asking.

I'm asking $1,000,000 for the last Yugo GVX turbo off the line. Low mileage.

I have a collection of WWII French military rifles. Never been fired and only dropped once. I'm asking $10,000 each.

Could give me examples, but I think your original range was right. Probably towards the top of that range since it MIJ and extra clean.

Gorgeous bass, man! I always tell myself that I want a Marcus Miller, then I pick one up and remember why I never bought one. Too effing heavy for me. There are tons of mucho macho men out there who would take it off of your hands for 800-ish. I’m a whimp.

When I bought this one the store had another one. I worked at a GC and the same guy returned both after a long drawn out ordeal finding them. This was was the heavier of the two, the other one was a MIJ sunburst and had the newer logo, to me it just wasn't right. I wanted one like Marcus. I digress, this one isn't too terribly heavy, but it is compared to the other one I played.
