I’m not sure of the validity of the article, but when I remember seeing him a few years ago... it was obvious that something was wrong.

Prayers could be in order...

It's valid. Been confirmed by people who know him. However, assisted living isn't the same as 24-hour care. Assisted living means you can do some stuff independently and probably have your own room. 24-hour care is for people who are really really bad off, like my mother. So unless they're not telling us something, he's probably not in grave danger at the moment.

Sorry to resurrect a Zombie thread but does anyone have any info as to how Mr. Jackson is doing here in late 2020? I haven't had much luck with finding info on his health online.

I have watched him participate in a few Zoom calls with the Berkeley bass department over the course of the pandemic, sharing knowledge and stories. Don't know how his health is but he seemed well enough to participate in the 1-2 hour calls.

He’s appeared in several of the zom meetings and looks and sounds great.
