And doesn't Lou do the New Standard basses now (without Arnold?)?
Thanks Troy. I couldn’t play it before Barrie fixed it. He could of sold me a bass easily the day I brought it in. He told me to have it fixed because he thought I would like it. He was right.Sounds good, Chuck.
Thanks Louis. He had to find a new manufacturer recently. They are temporarily discontinued. I am not sure which strings I have. The Varicor or the Heritage? What color are the silks on the tail end of your strings?Sounds very good. I've got a set of Barrie's Heritage strings on one bass and they are very under-rated.

No. Sorry guys. You are not permitted to start talking up the merits of a string set that I haven't tried. Stop it.
I will abuse my authority here if you force my hand.

That’s a restoration Lou just completed. Check out this one his father Frank DiLeone made with wood that was the last Frank was able to get out of Germany before WW2. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]Curiously, I was just on Upton's FB site, and they had a photo of a scroll w/ hatpegs which they said was a Louis DiLeone restoration in progress. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is the bass on their site.
They call it a DiLeone, and it has a 2012 sticker, but it was a restoration of a 1920s-30s Czech.
