Any Chance to use EHX Micro Synth in Power Chain?

The manual of the NEW Electro Harmonix Micro Synth (I Want to buy it!)
says: "The Micro Synth will not work with the same power adaptor that is daisy chained to other pedals in its signal chain. Please run the Micro Synth off of its own power adapter."

There is any chance in chain with a Sansamp Programmable and an EHX Bass Big Muff?

I have the 1Spot power adaptor.

It needs isolated power - it won't work in any conventional fashion on a daisy chain (do a little research on "positive ground" circuit designs in case you're curious about the reasons why... I've posted about it before in this forum). There are three solutions, however:

1) Use a separate 9VDC adapter, such as the one the XO Bass Micro Synth comes with.

2) Use a power supply which features isolated outputs, like the T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr., BBE Supacharger, Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus, etc.

3) Use a GigRig Virtual Battery. However, I don't know how effective that product is - I've never used one myself, but it's supposed to do the trick. If you do try this one, be sure to report back!

It's not a buffer - it's something else entirely, AFAIK.

Isolating an output doesn't seem to be something for the casual DIYer. Every popular solution I've seen involves transformers.

The Voodoo Lab, for example, uses a toroidal transformer with balanced windings at each output. The Virtual Battery uses a toroidal transformer, among other things. Your typical wall wart has, of course, a transformer of its own.

IMO, a DIY solution would probably cost you a lot more money and frustration than any of the solutions already out there. But I could be wrong... it's not something I've ever explored in depth. My main reason for not doing so is because I've often needed several pedals to be isolated - not just one.

Well I've tested the BMS in a daisy chain on my crappy powered pedal board and it works perfectly fine. Not sure of any long term hazards so I have not continued to use it in the chain. On second though, I am not really daisy chaining it, I am using the power from the pedal board and they all have separate power lines coming from the initial source. maybe this is different?

+1. VooDoo labs and the like are iso, not daisy.
