Any delay pedals as lush and thick as the Eventide Timefactor?

I tried out the Eventide timefactor and modfactor the other day and was amazed at how full and lush the sound was. It was like going from mono to surround sound.

The features on the timefactor are a little overkill for me.

Any other delay pedals that have that high quality sound?

if you want something cheap, the Behringer Vintage Time Machine is pretty much a direct copy of the EHX Deluxe Memory man, both have the same functions, sound the same, are true bypass and it sounds scarily too good

The Vintage Time Machine isn't true bypass. It is true hard-wire bypass. The circuit itself is not bypassed as is the case with true bypass.

IMO, only a few delay pedals can match the sounds of a rackmont unit. I would recommend the Damage Control - TimeLine, but this has been recently discontinued. I'm most excited about the Effectrode pedal delay (currently in R&D). This is going to be based/inspired by the Binson Echorec - my all time favorite effect.

Effectrode is working on a delay modeled after a Binson. The goal is to accurately recreate the liquid swirl sound of the Echorec B2, when the drum/heads saturate on high swell levels. The analog signal path will use tubes and transformers and the delay length may be longer then originals. The size of the unit and release date are TBA. Keep in mind, everything is in the R&D stages.

In what way does "true hard-wire bypass" differ from true bypass? I'd bet five Zimbabwe dollars that the relay is on the other side of the board.

I've been rebuilding/customizing a guitarists pedalboard & his Superdelay is probably going to get stolen!

It's an amazing pedal. One of the lushest analog-delays ever.

Hmm, I'm familiar with all those bypass systems but hadn't run across a company calling it "true hardwire bypass". I guess even respected companies like MXR are not above deceptive ad copy.

The SuperDelay is indeed amazing. But it is definitely digital. Although it can do "analog-voiced" with the best of them.

Yes! But I will need to see a shot of the other side of the board to confirm there's no relay there.
