Any difference in sound between Mesa D-350 and D-800?

Right. I was looking at the PJBs for a different purpose. It will be a while before I can convince my wife I need a Mesa 115 in addition to my Ampeg 115:)
What is the power that wives hold over us bass players. My wife knows nothing about bass amps and yet when I suggest buying another piece of gear that I THINK I need, she steadfastly says NO right off the bat without even having a discussion. jeez. ;) Yet if she wants to buy bling, I have no problem with that.. I have the Mesa 115 but wanted a 2x15 cab because I thought it would be louder and because it has wheels and can be rolled around without using a dolly. She says NO all the time. I can get an audience with the Pope eaiser than her allowing me to buy another Mesa cab. <color me henpecked>

Well, London is not in Europe anymore
Joke apart, great news

For regulatory purposes, Europe and the UK are still the same, the UK will still accept the EU CB Scheme safety reports with UK national differences just as before, at least for the next few years, as well as UKCA which is essentially the same as the rest of the EU with the same UK national differences.

Yes, despite the Brexit, we still have a lots of things and interests in common

The life of a married man... My wife wants to spend $12k on new kitchen counters. Since I am happy with the ones we have, I can try to argue that is her choice, and should come out of her spending money. You know how that argument will go. Seems to me a Mesa 115 and 210 is a relative pittance, right? I've been married 35 years, and want to stay that way. I know how far that argument will fly...

My wife just spent $15K for a new bathroom ... Can you just imangine what I can buy for $15K in bass gear? One can only dream. ;)

Hmmmm, a counter is just something you set things on and work on, a bathroom has an even simpler purpose. Bass gear on the other hand is part of the “art” of music

Don’t try this argument though, it won’t work any better than what you have already used. ;)

I found out that the Mesa D-350 I ordered is in, yes! Then a FB event popped up for a Mesa tone event at my local shop on Friday, yes again! Maybe I could listen to both a Mesa 115 and 210! Who sells lottery tickets?! Then I realized the Ducks vs Washington football game is on at the exact time, which I am going to my son's to attend. DAMMIT!

As for my wife and me, nobody else would have either of us, so my marriage is kinda secure that way. (Quite honestly, I can do perfectly fine single)

And she couldn't be less interested in my gear; when she comes back into my man area (1200 sq ft addition partitioned into rooms/areas), she just sees a buncha stuff, and literally doesn't notice when I bring in something new even if it's a large cab sitting in the middle of the music room.

One time she did mention listing what my stuff is worth so she could know what to sell it for when I die...

I hope she isn't expecting much. :D

I mean, jeeez, can't a few 215, 212, even 115s and 210s be used AS kitchen benches?

I know I have..... well, bedside tables and coffee tables anyway

Only one half of that first paragraph applies to us. You can guess which….:roflmao:

We’ve been dating/going steady/whatever for 23 years now. We live separately a block away from each other.

Since she works at home and I travel a good bit, I have all my deliveries sent to her house. And she loves to tear into my packages when they arrive (she always asks!). If it’s a bass, I tell her to have at it. She’ll open the box (sometimes with the help of our, yes, our granddaughter, long story) and take pictures to send to me. If it’s an amp, she may open the box, but I tell her it won’t be as pretty to look at as my new basses. As with all the parts, pieces, and accessories. No interest there.

Actually, I told her to go ahead and open the D350 when it arrives. Her reaction was “It’s so tiny! Does it do anything?” (Okay, no jokes here!)

Whats hilarious is every once in a while, she ask, any new basses on the way?….:roflmao: :roflmao:

There’s no way to express how lucky and blessed I am for her to keep me in her life. For many reasons….:D

Wife asks her husband "How many beers have you drunk today?"
He answers "This will be maybe 4 or 5"
She then asks "And how much do you smoke a day?"
He says "Maybe a half a pack"
"Wellllll, are you aware how much money that adds up to over a whole year?" She proceeds to do the math.
"See?" She says "You spent enough money to have bought a corvette if you didnt drink or smoke!"
The man thinks for a bit and then says "Well, YOU dont drink or smoke and I dont see YOU driving a corvette."

There may be an advantage or two to being single. GAS is between me and my checkbook.

as some of you know, my husband (guitar player) and i met while i was looking for new people to jam with or form a band back in 1998. we're super supportive and involved with each other's gear, have suggestions and are generally very involved with each others music. he also does all our setups and mods. we buy each other guitars, basses, pedals, strings, edrums, accessories.

when i was looking at the mesa D-350, ariex said "do you need that?", i said "i don't need it, but i really want it", and - music gear enabler that he is, he said "you should buy that". so i did, and i'm still sooo happy with it.
