Any golfers on this board?

Just wondering. Even if you're just into the miniature variety or driving range (which is all I do so far).

Dallas just got a new concept in driving ranges called TopGolf. Some of you guys in the UK may know of this. For those that don't, think of a cross between your ordinary driving range and a bowling alley or a game of darts. The range has these big target "greens" made out of concentric rings of chutes, with a flag in the center. You hit balls with a little transponder microchip in them that have been registered to you, and the ball goes in one of the chutes, where a reader scans it, and the system gives you distance and accuracy information based on where you're hitting from. You can use this to play games; aim for any target, aim for a specified target, there's even one that turns one of the closer targets into a dartboard, and the object is to hit a ball into each of the 9 regions of the target. Or, you can just get a bucket of balls and practice, and the target system will tell you how far you're hitting and where the ball's landing.

Anyway, it's fun, and it's got me hooked on learning the game. Are there any other golfers around?

I play, but golf season is pretty much over up here in the soggy northwest. Time to pack up the bag and throw it in storage for a few months. I'll leave a couple clubs out for when I want to hit the driving range during the winter.
