Any Good 8 inch Speakers?

Hey all,
I am looking for a new speaker for my combo amp as I really do not like the sound of the stock speaker. Can anybody recommend a great 8" bass speaker that doesn't cost loads?

What combo? Someone may already have done the homework and found a good replacement.

Have you peeked inside? Sometimes just a little lining (for a ported cabinet) or stuffing it (sealed cabinet) can make enough change to a stock box to satisfy the need to alter the sound with hardware.

Yes, there are several great, cheap 8" speakers out there... manufacturers just use the $200 ones in their boxes to jack the price up and mess with us.
